Study: How To Have Peace With God

In man’s sinful nature, he is always at war with God. As long as a man or woman is outside of Christ, that is, not a believer in Jesus Christ and not baptized into Christ, he or she remains at war with God; However, once a person hears the gospel of Christ, believes it, and is baptized, he or she is “in Christ”…and is saved, and has made peace with God.

What is the gospel of Christ? The word “Gospel” means Good News. It is the good news about the death, the burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth born of a virgin. He died on the cross for my sins as well as the sins of the world. He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day. Read this in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4, as well in the biblical books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

The Good News is that because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for our sins, we now have forgiveness of sins through His shed blood (Read 1 John 1:7). The precious blood of Jesus cleanses us of sins in God’s sight. Our blood washed souls come into a covenant of peace with God through our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, and we are no longer at war with God or under condemnation.

Romans 8:1 says,

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”

Romans 5:1 says,

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”

Will you believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ? Will you confess Jesus as your Lord, and be baptized into Him just as Jesus said in Matthew 28:19? If you do, you will come into a covenant relationship with God, and there will be peace between you and Him through Jesus Christ, His Son…Praise the Lord!

Peace

Reconciliation
and peace with God
through Christ;

Differences
between us
now made right.

Though all the world
continues
in conflicts and in wars,

I have peace with God
through Christ
forevermore.

through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1
