In this lesson, we will study what the scriptures say about boasting, particularly about ourselves.
Read Daniel 4:28-31 about King Nebuchadnezzar when he boasted about himself.
Read Acts 12:21. What happened to King Herod when he received the praises of men?
(Please note: In NIV version, the word boast(ing) is used, while in the King James, the word glory, or glorying is used. They mean the same thing…to brag about, or to uplift in praise.)

Avoid Self Praise

Clothe yourself always with humility

The Lord tests you by your reaction to praise (remember King Herod)
