A Day of Joy, A Day of Sorrow
Deep inside of everyone, believers and those in denial, there is the knowledge that there is going to be a day to end all days. That day is called, “The Day of the Lord”.
For believers, the day of the Lord when Jesus Christ returns, will be glorious.
1. As Jesus descends from Heaven, the bible says, there will be a _____________

2. The bible goes on to say that we will be ___________ up in the ______________ to be will the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:17).
Read 1 Corinthians 15:50-51. Since flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God (Heaven), what does verse 51 say must happen?
What must happen to our mortal fleshly bodies (1 Corinthians 15:53-55)?
On the other hand, those who have denied Jesus will experience terror and sorrow on the day of the Lord.
1. Read Revelations 6: 12-14. What will the people of the earth (those remaining after the church is gone) try to do on that day (Read Revelations 6:15)? ______________
2. To those who had rejected Christ, the coming of Jesus will be a day of His ___________ (Read Revelations 6: 16-17)
3. According to Revelation 1:7, what will those “of the earth” do because of Him when He returns? ________________
So, the day of the Lord will be experienced differently by those who are believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ and those who are not.
